Delivery Note (DN)

The Delivery Note (DN) is a commercial document that records the removal of stock and the delivery of products ordered by the customer. It is created automatically from a Purchase Order, can be archived automatically in SharePoint, and converted into an Invoice once the goods have been delivered.

What it is for

When a customer places an order, you need to provide proof that the items have been removed from your stock and delivered to them. The Delivery Note is this document: it follows the Order and records which products were delivered, in what quantities, and on what date. Once the products have been delivered and the Delivery Note has been signed by the customer (as proof), you convert the Delivery Note into an Invoice to bill the customer. The PDF of the Delivery Note can also be automatically archived in your company’s SharePoint, in addition to being filed in ForXell.

This article, and all the others, are available directly inside ForXell.
