Cash register (point of sale / POS)
The POS module transforms ForXell into a point of sale: you search for a product, add it to your basket, proceed to checkout (cash, card, etc.) and a receipt is printed. An invoice is created automatically and the payment is recorded. The module also manages till stations, till sessions (opening/closing X and Z), receipt history and consolidation reports. In the event of a network outage, the checkout process continues: receipts are stored locally and automatically resubmitted once the connection is restored, without any duplicates.
What it is for
To sell in-store or at the counter, you need a fast screen designed for processing payments as the queue moves along, which is different from a standard quotation or invoice. The Cash Register module meets this need: items are added to the basket via search (reference, description, manufacturer); the net total including VAT is displayed in real time; the payment method is selected; the amount received is entered; ForXell calculates the change, processes the payment, creates the invoice and prints the receipt. In addition to this sales process, the module organises the day-to-day operations of a retail outlet: multiple till stations, a single session per day that is opened and closed (X reports during the day, Z closing report), a receipt history to trace a sale, and reports to consolidate sales figures. The module is optional and is activated on a company-by-company basis.
