Accounting: getting started

Entry point for the ForXell Accounting module: viewing entries (trial balance, general ledger, journals, chart of accounts), and — if advanced accounting is enabled — data entry, fixed assets, cost accounting/budgets, bank reconciliation, SEPA payments and direct debits, aged balance sheet, period-end closing, and regulatory exports (FEC, tax return package).

What it is for

The Accounting menu brings together all the screens that allow you to view, enter and export your accounts, with a core set of functions available to all companies (trial balance, general ledger, journals, chart of accounts, FEC export, basic financial statements) and a set of advanced screens that can be enabled on a company-by-company basis to achieve comprehensive accounting on a par with specialised software: rapid entry of journal entries, fixed asset management and depreciation, cost centre accounting, budget monitoring, bank reconciliation with itemisation, supplier payment and SEPA customer direct debit campaigns, aged balance with automatic reminders, centralised journals, monthly closure via period lock, and regulatory exports (FEC, DATEV, standardised tax return).

This article, and all the others, are available directly inside ForXell.
