Customer After-Sales Service (after-sales files)

The Customer After-Sales Service screen lists all your customers’ after-sales service cases: product concerned (barcode), reported issue, and status (In Progress or Completed). Each case opens in a detailed record showing: receipt, customer, processing, resolution, associated serial numbers and expenses incurred. This is a view screen, featuring search functions, filters by status and by column, sorting and Excel export.

What it is for

After-sales service (AS) tracks a product’s lifecycle AFTER the sale: when a customer returns a faulty or defective item, a case is opened and then tracked until it is closed. This screen provides an overview: how many cases are still open, which ones have been closed and on what date, and for which customer. Each case links the reported issue to the specific product via its barcode and associated serial numbers: you know exactly which unit has been returned, its dates of entry into and exit from the after-sales service, and its condition. The record also tracks who received the product, who processed it, the action taken and the final resolution message. The costs associated with the case are itemised line by line (date, type, pre-VAT, VAT, total including VAT) with a total including VAT, so you can see the actual cost of each intervention. Finally, the linked invoice number and the link to the customer record allow you to check the history without leaving the screen.
